Memphis Makes History

Last Night (8)Memphis played (1)San Antonio, and San Antonio had to play with their heart or they were going home for good. Memphis led the series 3-2 going into this game. Usually when a team leads in rebounds, they win the game, but that wasn't the case here with San Antonio winning the battle of rebounds 43-31.The main reason Memphis won was because of Zach Randolph, he finished the game with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Memphis made history by being only the second team raked 8th to win a series against a 1st ranked team. They will play OKC tomorrow. During the regular season, Memphis won three out of the four meetings. This is like a dream come true season for Memphis, I expect big things from them.

NFL Draft round 1

Well, this to me, was a very surprising draft. I think many teams messed up on their picks. But before I get into how the picks were, he was the results of the first round...........
1.Carolina- Cam Newton
2.Denver-Von Miller
3.Buffalo-Marcell Dareus
4.Cincinnati-A.J. Green
5.Arizona-Patrick Peterson
6.Atlanta-Julio Jones
7.San Francisco-Aldon Smith
8.Tennesse-Jake Locker
9.Dallas-Tyron Smith
10.Jacksonville-Blaine Gabbert
11.Houston-J.J Watt
12.Minnesota-Christian Ponder
13.Detroit- Nick Fairley
14.St.Louis-Robert Quinn
15.Miami-Mike Pouncey
16.Washington-Ryan Kerrigan                                                                                 17.New England-Nate Solder
18.San Diego-Corey Liuget
19.New York(G)-Prince Amukamara
20.Tampa Bay-Adrian Clayborn
21.Cleveland-Phil Taylor
22.Indianapolis-Anthony Castonzo
23.Philadelphia-Danny Watkins
24.New Orleans-Cameron Jordan
25.Seattle- James Carpenter
26.Kansas City-Jonathan Baldwin
27.Baltimore-Jimmy Smith
28.New Orleans-Mark Ingram
29.Chicago Bears-Gabe Carimi
30.New York(J)-Muhammad Wilkerson
31.Pittsburgh-Cameron Heyward
32.Green Bay-OT Derek Sherrod

Ok, now the analyzing on the teams I think messed up.

Carolina-

With the first pick I think it was a bit of a waste to pick a QB, but they did and Cam Newton was their man. I would have given Jimmy Clausen one more year, simply because Steve Smith was not 100% healthy with a broken arm during the preseason and part of the regular season. I know they had a great running back, but still I don't think you can run the ball every down, and to all the people looking at this saying "ya, but they had other receivers." They did but they couldn't produce because they are only mediocre at best. I rate it a C+.

Jacksonville-

With the 10th overall pick they selected Blaine Gabbert. All I have to say is why? Why why why? Why would you pick a QB when you already have a good QB right now. Their Offense was great, it was the Defense that needed a little boost. I rate it a D-. There was no reason for this.

Miami-

Now why would you go out and pick a center, when your in much need of a QB and RB. Ya this was a good pick, it just wasn't a good pick for you. I'm not surprised to see Miami waste a pick, it has happened before and I'm pretty sure it will happen again. The last good player they picked was Dan Marino. Now lets be serious, are you surprised? I'm not , I give them a D+.

Round 1 and Done

Thats what it looks like for the 76ers, after last nights game the Heat took a commanding 3 games to none lead over them. The Heat were in a close one with a score of 100-94Brand and Andre cant match up to Wade and Lebron its that simple. Lebron had a double double along with Wade. Sometimes they play the game as if it was football (watch the video to see what I'm talking about, except thin game 3 it was lebron to wade).Wade finished with 32 , Lebron with 25, and Bosh with 19. Now no team has every came back from a 3-0 game defficent. Easter Sunday, these to teams match up again at 1
1:00pm eastern time. Anything can happen on any given day, but I think its all done for Philly on Sunday. Next Round they would face the winner of NY and Bos.

Playoffs!

So today, the real race starts. 16 wins and....will be the NBA champions. The first round starts today, with the Pacers at the Bulls at 1, then Philly at Miami at 3:30, New York at Boston at 7 , Atlanta at Orlando at 7, Portland at Dallas at 9:30, and same time for the Denver at Oklahoma City game. Going into this, I think there are only two games that you can guess the winners of, and that's the series  of Miami and Philly, The last time Miami played the 76er's they blew them out, and who do the 76ers really have to compare to Lebron, Bosh, or Wade? No one, other than Andre Iguodala . Elton Brand, even though he has a higher average for points than everyone on the team, he is mediocre at best. I think the Heat sweep the 76ers, Maybe even a Championship could be won if Bosh shows up big, Wade keeps up the same performance, and Lebron and his new shoes the 8PS also known as the Lebron Playoffs from Nike, can pull off great performances.

Now, for the Pacers at Bulls. In the last meeting between these two, the Pacers pulled off a flabbergasting performance to win 115 to 108. Now, with this said even thought I expect for the Bulls to advance along with most people in the world, Anything can happen on any given day. They will need a solid performance from Rose, Boozer, and Noah to win this series. They have alot of pressure on them believe it or not with the whole world basically expecting them to win, along with the president.

Drafts

Well, today the Uconn women Huskies really lost their star player, Maya Moore. Maya went 1st overall in todays WNBA draft, to Minnesota. Also, today Kemba Walker announced that he will be entering the NBA draft. A bunch of Espn people are saying that he will end up going ninth in draft, but I think they are way off I expect him to go in the top 5. Cleveland could use a Kemba Walker, they need all the help they can get.

Heat vs Celtics

This will probably be the deciding game of who secures the second seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Will Lebron show up big for them, unlike last night. Its going to be great to see Lebron and how he faces up against Pierce. Wade is playing at his strongest we shouldn't expect anything less from him tonight. Now for Chris Bosh, he needs to step it up we need to see the same stuff he did on friday night. This is a key game, If they win this then, they will face Amare and the Knicks in the first round. The Celtics are going to start slowing down, their team is getting old the only good player that they have a future with is Rondo. If the Heat pull a W off tonight, they will prove, they they are ready to win a championship.

Mamma Drama

42 year old mother, Gloria James mother of Lebron James was arrested at approximately 4:57 AM at the Fountain Blue hotel, on thursday morning. She had one to many drinks, because when she decided that she had been waiting to long for her car, she decided it was a good idea to take a swing at the valet man. When they asked Lebron about this, he said," you have to move forward,’’ he said, during practice at the American-Airlines Arena. “There [are] certain things you have to deal with....I have a job to do still.’’ It's seem like he's use to his mothers behavior right? I mean there was that time when he played for cleveland and during a game he ran into the stands, to tell her to sit down, because they had got into a argument. She also had sexual altercations with former team mate of Lebron, Delonte West. I just cant wait to see what she does next!

National Champs!

They did, Uconn's mens basketball beat Butler to win it all. This was a well fought game, but I've never seen the ball come loose or so many air balls in my life. This was a close game up until the second half, when Uconn started to pull away. When you hold Butlers leading scorer to only seven points what do you expect other than an "L" in the books. Kemba Walker showed up big. They choked and it's ok because they were there last year.
Texas A&M. They beat Stanford why not Noter Dame. Danielle Adams, is really the one who won the game for the Aggies, with 22 points just in the second half and finished with 30. The surprising thing was that the Fighting Irish had seven turnovers in the first six minutes and thirty seconds. They rebounded from that disappointment only to find them-selfs lose by only four points. Doesn't that suck, to be so close, but yet so far.
Anyways, Congrats to Texas A&M and The Uconn Huskies!

Championship game!

It's been set, monday night the Huskies will be playing Butler. Its Butlers second straight appearance in the championship game. On the other hand, Uconn has had 10 straight wins. Uconn's win last night over Kentucky was intense, with Uconn only winning by 1 single point. I think the only one Uconn can thank for the win is Kemba Walker and the defense they showed out there. O yea, you can't forget about the rising freshman Brandon knight, if he goes in the draft (even though he probably won't) would end-up going like 3rd or 4th overall. Now to the Butler VCU game, I was surprised, I mean I was either expecting VCU to win or a blow out. You can only expect better from this VCU team next year. Now if mondays game is anything like these two game's it's going to be a close one. I predicted Uconn winning it 63 to 58. Also, If Uconn's women's team wins today, it will be the first time since 2004 that both the Men's and Women's Uconn team are in the Championship games. All I can say is Maya Moore and Kemba Walker!

Expect the unexpected!

The Heat faced off against the Wizards two night ago  in D.C, and this was one of the violent games (for the NBA other than the Lakers-Mavs game). In the second quarter, rookie of the month John Wall decided to take a swing at Zydrunas Ilgauskas after Big Z acedentally elbowed him (barley), then the unexpected happened, Big Z grabbed him and was about to take a swing himself. It's funny how the quiet guy isn't quiet.
John Wall and the Wizards woun't be attending the NBA playoffs now that they have the second worst record in the league ( the Cavs being the worst). The big three again had more than 90 points in this 123-107 over the Wizards. O yea and by the way the Heat are third in the Eastern conference and when the Wizards face the Cavs tonight,  they will be without John Wall since he has a one game suspention . The Heat play the Timberwolves tonight a 8. Should be a good one.
